Neutral Buoyancy Clinic
Divers practice neutral buoyancy skills and body positioning while completing underwater tasks and challenges. An important clinic for divers, as we all need to work on our buoyancy skills!
Sunday, June 23
Divers learn how to prepare data collection gear, organize data and record observations while diving using dive slates and underwater paper. Divers continue to master their underwater communication and buddy skills using hand signals to communicate scientific information.
Jr. Scientists Dive Team is a unique opportunity for 8-18 year olds interested in marine biology and the ocean. Our goal is to engage kids interested in the ocean through science education, scuba training and hands-on experiences.
Each month, we offer scientific diving clinics to help young divers learn new scientific methods, practice their neutral buoyancy skills and develop good diving habits. Dive Clinics are open to CertifiedDivers or those that have completed the Junior Open Water or Open Water pool and course work, but not completed the certification dives yet, and divers that have completed the PADI Master Seal Team course.
Dive Clinics are offered one Sunday a month from 2:30-4:30pm
