Little kids are natural scientists! Our Young Explorers conduct science experiments and activities inspired by children's literature. They learn basic science concepts through songs, movement, stories and hands-on activities. Fun for kids and parents.

SEPTEMBER - We're All SCIENTISTS!
This month our Young Explorers and their parent(s) create lever launchers and launch an astronaut with the book We're All Wonders. We also read Iggy Peck Architect,What Do You Do With An Idea, and Press Here! to inspire us to build sticky structures, create genius gizmos and investigate chain reactions. OCTOBER - Things That Go Bump In The Night!
October is all about nocturnal creatures. We investigate bats, spiders, raccoons, owls and more with the books, Stellaluna, Owl Moon, Room on a Broom, and The Kissing Hand. Young Explorers and their parent(s) examine eating and sleeping patterns of these creatures, explore echolocation and create cool art. Mondays 9:30-10:15am - Oct 16, 23 and 30 REGISTER
NOVEMBER - Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins!
Get ready to explore everything about pumpkins! Young Explorers and their parent(s) examine investigate the life cycle of a pumpkin, explore parts of a pumpkin, experiment with exploding pumpkins, and more. Many animals are getting prepared for winter, and so are we! Young Explorers and their parent(s) investigate how animals adapt to the cold with Animals in the Winter, and study how polar bears stay warm and penguins stay dry.
