Jr. Scientists Dive Team is a unique opportunity for 8-18 year olds interested in marine biology and the ocean. Our goal is to engage kids interested in the ocean through science education, scuba training and hands-on experiences.
Each month, we offer scientific diving clinics to help young divers learn new scientific methods, practice their neutral buoyancy skills and develop good diving habits. Dive Clinics are open to CertifiedDivers or those that have completed the Junior Open Water or Open Water pool and course work, but not completed the certification dives yet, and divers that have completed the PADI Master Seal Team course.
First-time Jr Scientist Divers pay a one-time member fee of $30 to pay for materials for various dive clinics. Member fee can be paid here.
Dive Clinics are offered one Sunday a month from 2:00-4:30pm (NOTE: dive clinics are now 30 minutes longer to have more time for pre-dive instruction).
