Enrichment classes and workshops are designed by scientists and educators to supplement homeschool science curricula, and extend learning into fun, interactive subject areas. Contact us to schedule private classes and workshops for your homeschool group.  A minimum of 6 participants is required for each course.

Population Genetics

Students study the genetic variation within populations, learn processes that alter the frequencies of alleles, investigate exchange of genetic material between populations, and how natural selection influences the genetic structure of populations, potentially leading to new species.

Forest Ecology

Students study patterns of plants, animals and their interactions with the environment in forest ecosystems. Projects include floral dissection and pollination, tree identification, animal field studies, ecosystem surveys and forest management.

Introduction to Chemistry with Labs
Wednesdays  Mar 22-May 3 (no class Apr 5)

Instructor: Rebekah Gordon, MSc
Basic chemistry principles involving atoms, elements and compounds are taught by building models, using the periodic table of elements, and conducting lab experiments. We look at properties of liquids and solids, investigate acid-base reactions, experiment with polymers, and more.

Invertebrates 101

This hands-on course introduces younger students to the invertebrates of our world. Each week we explore new, more complex organisms and their relatives, and discuss their role in ecosystems.

Math in Science

In this course, students learn the foundations of geometry and physics, with a focus on applications to nature. Students gain hands-on exposure to nature's mathematical makeup. This course is designed to enhance core mathematic skills and position students on an accelerated math and science path.
